NORTH BROOKLYN WATERFRONT

Route by Brooklyn Greenway Initiative

The ever-evolving Brooklyn Greenway starts at Greenpoint's Transmitter Park. Cycle down Kent Ave where you can stop off at East River State Park, North 5th Pier and Domino Park for Instagram-worthy views of Manhattan. At Domino Park, be sure to check out the newest eateries along River Street. From there, move south on the protected bike lane to the Naval Cemetery Landscape and the Brooklyn Navy Yard—where you can explore Building 77’s food scene, drinks at Rooftop Reds and Kings County Distillery, and exhibitions in Building 92. Navigate your way through the historic cobblestone streets of DUMBO to one of the most scenic green spaces: Brooklyn Bridge Park. If the park’s activities don’t wear you out, head along the greenway down to Red Hook for great industrial neighborhood vibes. The route is highly recommended for families or groups of all ages and levels.

NYC Ferry operated by Hornblower, is the newest way for New Yorkers and visitors to “Work Live and Play”. The ferry service connects the New York boroughs of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx to provide critical transportation links for areas currently underserved by transit and connect them to job centers, tech hubs and schools in and around New York City.
